Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County. Will dated 19 January 1804, proved 8 June 1810. Grand-children Mary Ann BEDLE, Catharine Jane BEDLE and Isaac Lawton BEDLE 1200 Spanish milled dollars, 400 dollars to each of them, the interest applied toward their education and maintenance until they respectively attain age 21. Grand-children Elizabeth Cranstron DEBLOIS, Sally DEBLOIS, Thomas Lawton DEBLOIS, Gilbert DEBLOIS and George Lewis DEBLOIS 1200 Spanish milled dollars, 240 dollars to each of them, the interest to be applied toward their education and maintenance until they respectively attain age 21. Sister-in-law Elizabeth CRANSTON be permitted to occupy the same room in my dwelling that she has been accustomed to, be decently maintained during her life, and be paid annually £9 N. B. currency. Daughter Mary CRANSTON my dwelling and lot on Germain Street and one-third of my farm at Queens County now occupied by John LOUNSBURY, with one-third of the stock. Daughter Elizabeth one-third of the farm at Queens County and one-third of the stock. Grandson Isaac Lawton BEDLE one-third of the farm and one-third of the stock, the farm to be held by them as tenants in common. Residue of estate one-fourth to daughter Mary Cranston and three-fourths to daughter Elizabeth. Daughters Mary Cranston BEDLE and Elizabeth DEBLOIS and grand-daughter Mary Ann BEDLE (the surname appears as "BEEDLE" in the probate records) executors. Witnesses: Huldah BUTLER, Josiah BUTLER, James PETERS.
