Abstract Parish of St. Stephen, Charlotte County, Merchant. Will dated 30 March 1822, proved 26 June 1822. Wife Betsy the homestead, all personal estate and the rear of the Libbie lot for life. Daughter Ann BIGSBEE west half of the house and garden now occupied by James BIGSBEE; Lots 21 and 22 on the road to St. David. Eldest son William residue of above property with the wharf and store; one-third of property at the [Ledge] lately purchased from Michael YOUNG. Sons Joseph and James each one-third of property purchased from Michael YOUNG. Sons John and George the McKENZIE farm. The Libbie place to be divided among 4 youngest sons, John, George, Joseph and James, and 4 youngest daughters, Hannah, Eliza, Mary and Joanna PORTER. Son John Lots 183 and 41, each 100 acres. Son George Lots 5 and 6 on Oak Hill road, formerly granted to Martin HAYMAN. My back land to be divided, to Hannah PORTER Lot 43, Eliza PORTER Lot 42, Mary PORTER Lot 41, Joanna PORTER Lot 40, Joseph PORTER Lot 39, James PORTER Lot 37, Joseph and James PORTER Lot 38. Daughter Hannah Lot 52 on road to St. Davids. My sister Phebe PORTER £10. Wife Betsy sole Executrix. Witnesses: Richard CLARKE, Thomas ARMSTRONG, Ebenezer BUGBEE. Inventory, dated 19 June 1822, valued at £3,558 by Ebenezer BUGBEE, consisting solely of book debts.
