Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County, Esquire. Will dated 22 September 1788, proved 30 October 1789. Wife Elizabeth use of all real and personal estate while my widow and after that the use of one third of it only. Son James PUTNAM to be paid money I owe him, £300 Sterling at least. Son Ebenezer PUTNAM has already received £600 Sterling this year through Mr. Samuel ROGERS, my agent in London and this sum must be deducted from his share of my estate. Residue of estate to my two sons James and Ebenezer PUTNAM, they paying to my grand-daughter Eliza Putnam CHANDLER £20 each and to my son-in-law Thomas KNOX £12 each. Wife Elizabeth and sons James and Ebenezer PUTNAM executors. Witnesses: Ross CURRIE, John SMITH, Thomas HANFORD.
