Wife Christina RYAN one third of real and personal estate, "the best Room in the house and Bed Room, one bed, bedding, Bedstead and Curtains, all of which she shall enjoy during her Natural Life." Daughter Elenor PITFIELD £50. Ann JOHNSON and Margret Elizabeth FREEZE each £50. Son George RYAN £100. My two sons John H. RYAN and James RYAN the residue of estate. Sons John H. RYAN and James RYAN executors. Witnesses: Michael PICKLES, Alexander McFARLANE, William FENWICK. Inventory, filed 19 December 1835, valued at £1,200 by Alexander [McFARLANE] and William FENWICK. No residence cited. Westmorland County records. File contains only a partial account of administration of estate by Titus KNAPP between January 1818 and 26 June 1819. A list of debts against the estate included James RYAN, balance due £112 13s. 10d.; Henry RYAN, £6 10s., and John RYAN, Blacksmith, 18s. 9d., among others.
