Abstract Parish of Hampton, "now Upham," Kings County. Died "some time in the month of April" 1827 intestate. Administration granted 12 September 1827 to Miraba(sic) SHERWOOD, widow, and his brother John SHERWOOD Junr. of Hampton. Undated inventory valued about £970 by Jesse TABER Junr. and Andrew MALLERY. File contains a bond, dated 29 January 1830, of John SHERWOOD and Mareby SHERWOOD of the Parish of Hampton as administrators of the estate to Ebenezer DIBBLEE of the Parish of Norton in the amount of £800 pending arbitration of an unspecified dispute. Petition of Andrew S. SHERWOOD and Jesse SHERWOOD, sons of the deceased, dated 4 May 1846, complained that an account of the administration had not been filed.
