Abstract Parish of Sussex, Kings County. Will dated 25 August 1824, proved 21 September 1824. Jasper B. SPROULE 200 acres of land joing John McDONALD, he paying to Mary Ann SPROUL £40. James [V.] B. SPROULE the remainder part of the grant of land, he paying £30 to Mary Ann SPROULE five years after marriage. His mother to have a decent maintenance. Hannah J. SPROULE and Sarah G. SPROULE equal shares "either in value or land the Braning or Branan Farm." Paulene(sic) Barbara (as "Prudence BARBARIE" in Record Book A, page 323) a lot of land called the Tumblin [Dugan] Farm (as "Tumbling Dam Farm" in Record Book A, page 323). Ten pounds to be paid out of said farm after marriage. Andrew SPROULE [one] cow to be returned to my heirs after his death. Remaining stock to be divided among my heirs. Wife Mary SPROULE, John BARBARIE and Jasper B. SPROULE executors. Witnesses: Benjamin SPROUL, Alexander CAMPBELL. Inventory, dated 17 September 1824, valued at £661 by William FAYERWEATHER and Benjamin BELDING.
