To Ward CHIPMAN Junr. of Saint John £100 for sole use and benefit of my niece Penelope CLOPPER, wife of Garret CLOPPER. Hannah SMITH my great Easy Chair in which I usually sit. To Ward CHIPMAN Junr. residue of estate in trust for niece Penelope CLOPPER. Ward CHIPMAN Junr. sole executor. Witnesses: Ward CHIPMAN, John MURDOCK. A statement, signed by Sarah WINSLOW and witnessed by Ward CHIPMAN, bearing no date was appended: "It is to be remembered that in addition to the payment for my Board and Lodging to my Nephew Edward W. MILLER Esq. at the rate of fifty pounds a year during the time I have lived in his family, I have assigned to him a bond from the Honourable William BLACK Esquire to me for the principal sum of Two hundred & fifty pounds which I consider as equal to the half of all my property, that there is therefore no mention made of this branch of my family in my Will herein before written."
