Frederick JAMES, Car-builder met with an accident on his workshop yesterday afternoon, 13th inst., which resulted in his death about 5 o'clock last eve. Mr. JAMES had been assisting in laying a foundation of a steam boiler, and one of the logs rolling from under him, he fell, and the steam chest fell on his head, crushing in such a manner that, from the first there were no hopes of his recovery. Drs Bayard and Humphrey were in attendance, but there assistance was of no avail. Mr. JAMES leaves a widow and three children. News
