A melancholy accident occurred at Marysville (York Co.) on Monday last. Two boys, Herbert STAPLES and Frank WALKER returning from an errand, went out upon the logs in the pond in search of gum, when the latter slipped and fell into the water. He was at once seized by his brave little comrade and drawn out upon the logs. But he fell forward a second time and sank to rise no more. He was a fine little fellow of some seven summers. The body was almost immediately recovered.
