A drowing accident occurred at McDonald's Point (Queens Co.) on Saturday last. Two boys, Ernest WRIGHT and Ernest McDONALD, aged 8 and 9 respectively, were skating on the river at that place when, skating too near the opemn part of the river, the ice gave way and they were soon struggling in the water. The boys were observed by C.B. LEWIS, Geo. R. BELYEA and Wm BELYEA who hurried to their assistance; arrived there, the lad Wright had disappeared and all efforts to save the other proved ineffectual. The body of McDonald was soon recovered, but that of Wright had not been found up to Monday.
