Grand Manan (Charlotte Co.) Dec. 20 - William RUSSELL, for many years postmaster and the first prominent merchant of Seal Cove, died 13th inst., age 73. Mr. Russell's father removed with his family from Fredericton to this Island about 45 years ago and settled at South Head, following the life of fisherman and farmer. They are a family of old loyalist stock. A communicant of the Church of England, he was ever ready to help out any other denomination that might solicit his aid. His son, Peter RUSSELL, who succeeds to his father's business and is also postmaster, lives on the homestead and has a snug little business to look after.
