A sad accident occurred in town Thursday afternoon where by Ernest Loggie WILLISTON, age 6 years 4 mos., s/o John B. WILLISTON, lost his life. He was lifted by a large boy up into one of the oak trees in the garden of the house owned by Hon. Peter MITCHELL for the purpose of gathering acorns, and when about fifteen feet from the ground caught hold of a dead branch which broke and he fell to the sidewalk below, falling upon his head and fracturing his skull. When picked up by James TROY he was unconscious and remained so until his death.
