Drowned at Norton, Kings Co., 28th ult., by accidentally breaking through the ice, James A. HENDRICKS s/o late James HENDRICKS, Esq. of St. John City, age 25. Also at same time and place, John Richard RONEY, age 16, a lad in the employ of Mr. HENDRICKS who went to his assistance. Together they both perished before further aid could reach them.
