The 'Leader' says that by the death of John William JENKS on Tuesday morn., Parrsboro, N.S. lost one of its most esteemed citizens. Mr. Jenks was born at Halfway River and was a son of Lewis JENKS, Crown Land Surveyor. He came to Parrsboro as a merchant about 1860 and was appointed Postmaster in 1874.
