Edward YOUNG, who was at the time he left the oldest engineer on the Maine Central Railraod, left for California last Monday. Mr. Young first went into the employ of the road in 1853. He worked for the road 27 years steady. When he first went on the road, the company owned but one freight engine which was compelled to do all the work, including shifting. - Portland 'Advertiser'.
