John W. LOW, attorney-at-law, of Boston, is now visiting his old home at Mascarene (Charlotte Co.). In early life he was apprenticed to a shoemaker, but hammering the sole was not to his taste and he had not been long at it when he decided to make a change. During his spare moments he studided arduously and by economy was able to save sufficient money to enable him to obtain a legal education. Having secured his legal diploma he began practicing in Boston, but thinking that Texas opened a wider field for him, he went thither after a time. Life in Texas did not come up to his expectations and it was not long before he was back in Boston.
