They have gone. Their friends in Fredericton missed them from their accustomed places this morn. and soon it was known that they had gone to St. John. William MATHESON and Annie HIGGINS are married and have gone to St. John to reside. Miss Higgins worked as a compositor in the 'Gleaner' office. Some time between 6 and 9 o'clock they called in on Rev. Payson and were quietly married. Matheson had obtained a licence some days before, but it was kept a secret. Matheson is well known in the city as 'Boxer Matheson'. He is a s/o late John MATHESON. When his father died he left life insurance to the amouth of $6,000, $3,000 each to his son and daughter. Miss Higgins is a d/o Edward HIGGINS of this city. (see original)
