Charles FLEIGHER, Finlay ANDERSON and James VANSTONE went out to Bartibogue on Thursday after partridges. They stopped at Mr. Doyle's, secured the services of his son and drove further out on the road. Young Fleigher jumped off the wagon to look for a partidge, but failing to get a shot, jumped into the rear of the vehicle and it started forward with him standing behing his two companions. They heard the report of a gun and looking back, saw Fleigher falling backward, his hands held above his head. Young Doyle who was on the road in the rear, ran forward and the three went to the wounded man's relief. They found the charge from his gun had entered his cheek and passed upward to the top of his head. He was insensible and bleeding profusely. They carried him to Mr. Doyle's and sent to town for a physician. Drs. J.S. and J.B. Benson went out and dressed the wound. Mr. Fleigher suffered great pain and was out of his mind all night. The wound is a severe and dangerous one. The gun had been accidentally discharged by the jolting of the wagon or from some other cause. The wounded man is a book keeper in W.S. Loggie's, The injured man is reported to be improving today and he would be brought home if the weather were fine - 'World', 14th.
