Yesterday afternoon a fire broke out in a barn belonging to Thomas McEWEN and it and tyhe adjoining barn, owned by Joseph CRANDALL, Esq. and occupied by A. McKAY were totally destroyed. A child, age 4 years s/o Thomas McEWEN, was burned in the former building and a portion of the remains subsequently found. (see original)
