New Brunswick Boys Abroad - Edinburgh, June 15 - New Brunswickers studying in Edinburgh, Scotland .. Robert JARDINE son of Thomas JARDINE, ship builder of Kingston (Kent Co.) He is an old Moncton boy. He was among the first to come over nine years ago. He graduated M.B. and C.M. in 1886 and also took the member ship of the Royal College of Surgeons in England. After a visit home he returned to England where he spent some time devoting himself to the special study of diseases of women and children. Scotland had so many attractions for Dr. jardine that he determined to settle in the west end of Glasgow where he has been in practice for nearly three years. Last year he took the M.D. degree, receiving recommendation for his thesis on an obstetric subject. About the same time he was married to the only daughter of the late Graham BRYMNER, J.P. Mrs. Jardine was a distinguished student herself and holds the L.L.A. diploma of St. Andrews University with honors. (see original)
