William CLAWSON, age 80, who passed away Saturday afternoon was connected with the Customs Dept. at Saint John since 1856. Prior to that period he had been a clerk with the firm of Fleming & Humbert. In 1881 he was placed on a superannuated list. He was a native of Belfast, Ireland. Almost half his life was spent as a resident of saint John.
