We regret to learn that a boat from Quaco (St. John) for this city, containing four persons, was upset in Black River about half past 12 o'clock and two of the persons named John McCLUSKEY and John McCULLOUGH were unfortunately drowned. The boat was about a half a mile from the shore when the accident happened. One of the men saved is named Joseph SCOTT who resides in this city, the other is a sailor whose name we could not learn. We are informed that with the exception of SCOTT, they were all intoxicated. The sailor was saved through the exertions of SCOTT who swam behind the boat to which his companion clung until they reached the shore. The bodies have not yet been recovered.
