d. Bass River, Richibucto (Kent Co.) 25th ult., James PINE, age 83. He was among the first English settlers on the Richibucto River - 50 years ago. He owned and occupied an excellent house and farm at the 'head of the tide', then the last house on the road between Kent Co. and the settlement on Salmon Road. He was highly esteemed among his neighbors, as was shown by the number of persons of all creeds that attended his remains to the Presbyterian burial ground on Bass River. He was a member of Rev. J. FOWLER's congregation.
