Yesterday morn. between 9 and 10 o'clock, Henry BAILEY and Samuel WARREN left this side of Courtenay Bay in a boat and proceeded towards Little River, the ir object being to get spruce boughs to decorate the Bethel in which the bazaar is soon to be held. The sea was very heavy at the time. They attempted a landing near where the schr. "Enterprise" lies. As the boat got within a few yards of shore, it was upset by the surf. Albert FULLERTON, Alexander FULLERTON and William CHISHOLM, sailors of the "Enterprise" were in the house of James FOX near the shore and observing the accident, they with Mr. FOX ran to the rescue of the men. They procured a number of poles, and WARREN who is a good swimmer grasped one and was brought to land quite exhausted. Mr. BAILEY wasa struck on the back of the neck by the gunwale of the boat and was not seen until recovered about an hour afterward, when the body was removed to his father's house on Duke St. (St. John) Deceased was about age 26.
