William CROTHERS, long a resident of (St. John) city, shoemaker by trade, but lately having charge of a lumber yard near Pettingill's Slip, met a sudden death Tuesday eve. While ascending the steps from the yard to Prince William St., he slipped his footing and fell backwards receiving injuries from which he died in a few hours.
