George A. ALLISON, who died suddenly from heart failure in Halifax, N.S. some days ago while walking in his garden, formerly lived at Baie Verte (West. Co.) where he did business in parnership with the late Charles PRESCOTT. His first wife was a sister of Mrs. Prescott. Mr. Allison was son of James ALLISON, who lived at Willow Brook Farm, Cornwallis, and grandson of Joseph ALLISON who emigrated from the North of Ireland in the year 1769. James Allison's children were: James ALLISON, Charles F. ALLISON, John ALLISON, Henry B. ALLISON, Joseph F. ALLISON, William ALLISON and George A. ALLISON and Margaret Ann ALLISON, all of whom are now dead. Mr. Allison leaves six daughters, two of whom are married and his second wife survives him.
