Fredericton, Aug. 2 - George F. ATHERTON of this city received a despatch today from his son, Edward ATHERTON at Watson, B.C., stating that his store and dwelling had been burned by forest fires. According to the telegram the town of Watson was completely destroyed and by this fire the people forced to take refuge in a tunnel.
