Another murder was committed Sunday night in suburbs of (St. John) city on the person of David CAMPBELL who resided withhis parents near the Brick Yard at the foot of Jeffrey's Hill in the vicinity of Portland Valley Church. The deceased was walking on the road near his residence about 10 o'clock when he was accosted by a person with whom he continued in conversation for some time and was seen by his mother and some others. Shortly afterward the cry of Murder was heard by a neighbour and a person was seen to walk quickly away. The murdered man was found to have received some violent blows upon the head with a heavy instrument and several stabs in his neck. The deceased was in his 34th year and unmarried.
