The 'Kennebec Journal', Augusta, Maine, in a description of the members of the house of representatives for Maine referes to a young man formerly of Fredericton (York Co.) N.B. as follows: Thomas J. LYONS, Independent in politics, Catholic, granite cutter, married, age 35. Born in Fredericton, N.B., nbeing deprived of the privilege of free schools, attained his education evenings. Came to this country in 1865, since which time has resided at Vinal Haven, has not the brand of any political party on his back. (see original)
