Hon. Edward WILLIS, Postmaster of St. John, died early this morn. He was born in Halifax, N.S. in 1834. He came to St. John and for several years devoted himself to journalism. In 18_3, he bought the 'Morning News' from George E. Fenety and conducted it for several years. Shortly after retirement he was appointed postmaster. He sat in the legislature various times and for several years was a member of the executive council. He was a prominent Orangeman and Mason.
