A shocking accident occurred Friday night on Britain St. (St. John) by which a 4 year old daughter of George ELLIS met a sad end. The mother of the child last eve. went to a tank to get a pail of water, leaving the little one sitting on the floor by the stove. Before she returned, the child got too close to the stove and its clothes caught fire. When the mother arrived the dress was in flames which she succeeded to put out after a desperate struggle, but not before the arms and other portions of the body were burned and blistered. The girlk expired before the morning.
