We regret to hear of the death of William LONG of firm Messrs Long & Barnhill, millmen. Mr. Long has been for many years a resident of Portland (St. John). He had been ill for some weeks of typhoid fever. He belonged originally to York Co. and was about 48 years of age. Harvey E. STICKNEY, known in connection with the Easterm Express Co., and laterly an employee of the Eastern Railroad, Boston, died last night of rapid decline at the residence of William KENNEDY, Esq. Mr. Stickney was formerly a member of Peter's Battery of Artillery. He ca,e to Eastport (Maine) a short time age seeking health, but in vain. On Tuesday he removed to St. John, but the disease had made such inroads on his constitution that he sank quite rapidly after his arrival here and died as stated.
