On Sunday morn., a seaman on board schr. "Sophia" on passage from Boston for this port, whilst carrying an armful of wood on deck, slipped against the rail with so much force that he lost his balance and fell overboard. The vessel was going so fast that it was impossible to rescue him. The name of the man then launched into eternity was Joseph RICHARDSON, age 22 native of Dublin, Ireland, but for a number of years resided in this vicinity. - Yarmouth, N.S. 'Herald'
