A little son of our fellow citizen, William CALDWELL, named Samuel, about 12 years of age, met his death this morning while amusing himself in an outhouse which had been fitted as a gymnasium by the children, at his father's residence near Camp Hill. The boy had only been absent from the house for a few minutes, when one of the younger members of the family ran to his mother with the tidings that something was the matter with the deceased. The agonized mother, upon hastening to the scene of the disaster, found her boy suspended by the neck in a swing, with his knees on the floor and quite dead. The rope with which the little fellow had been playfully hanging himself having evidently slipped and tightened so effectually, thus choking the sufferer beyond recovery. - Halifax Reporter
