William TITUS, about 40 years of age, living at Bugtown, died last eve. about 8 o'clock. He was observed to fall on the ice when at the corner of Victoria and Bridge streets (St. John) He was carried into his house which was close at hand and he lived only about ten or fifteen minutes after he was taken there. Officer Colwell went for Dr. Christie who, after examining the body, said that Titus had died from bleeding of the lungs. Coroner Rigby empannelled the folllowing jury: G.L. ESTABROOKS (foreman), Abraham McCANN, John VINCENT, John CROWLEY, Charles McCRACKIN, Pat. GRIFFIN and John KIRVAN. (see original)
