Robert COX of Carleton (St. John) who died at his home, King street yesterday morn., was for the past seven years a member of the Carleton hookm and ladder company. He had been ill for about a fortnight with inflammation of the lungs. Deceased leaves a wife and seven small children. Mr. Cox will long be remembered for the part in which he took in the capture of the steamer "Chesapeake" during the rebellion in the United States. In 1861, a party was formed under Lt. Blaine consisting of Robert Cox, Linus SEELY and a man named WADE for the purpose of capturing a Union vessel. The funeral of the deceased will take place Wednesday afternoon.
