Hirbernia (Queens Co.) - On Wednesday 8th inst., Charles LANE, a native of England, was engaged working for John STOCKFORD, when he was suddenly stricken with some fatal disease and it is thought died instantly. Mr. Stockford on going to the field to call Lane for dinner, found him lying on his face dead. Mr. Lane would be about 35 or 40 years of age and was learned by a letter found on his person, he has a father and mother living in England. He had $29 on his person when found. His remains were interred in the F.C.B. burying ground in this place Thursday 9th inst.
