Government Emigration Office: (St. John) 30 May 1849 Arrived at this port on the 27th, Barque "Albion" from Cork 169 passengers and Brig "Waterford" from Limerick, 152 passengers. There were 13 deaths on board the "Waterford" during the voyage from dysentry and fever; the names of the deceased are as follows: Patrick NAGLE, age 22; Ellen NAGLE, 9 mos.; Catherine GUTHRIE, 1 year; J. WELCH, 2 years; Michael MADIGAN, 3 mos.; James MACMAHON, 45; Nancy O'LOGHLIN, 25; Thomas MADIGAN, 4; Mary BRADY, 6; Michael GALLAGHER, 20; Mary KAVANAUGH, 20; Catherine MADIGAN, 30; Mary WELSH, 3. The whole number of passengers landed at this port the present season up to this date is 938. With the exception of those by the "Waterford", the passengers generally have landed in good health, and with much less sickness than usual. At present there is no list of passengers from any place at this office; and none are expected, except a few by two vessels now on voyage from Westport - M.H. Perley, Emigration Officer.
