Jacob CHRISTOPHER, Carleton fisherman, died suddenly this afternoon. In company with his sons, Mr. Christopher went to Navy Island this morn. to superintend the hanging of the nets on his weirs there. At noon he prepared dinner for the others and a few mintutes after the meal was ended he fell back dead. Coroner White was at once summoned and under his instructions the body was removed to the deceased's late home on King Street. Mr. Christopher was 77 years of age and for some time past has been complaining of trouble about the heart. He leaves a family of four sons and five daughters.
