A young man named Francis CORBETT was shot 16th inst. by Thomas PHALEN near Syney Mines, Cape Breton, N.S. while chopping wood on the premises in dispute between PHALEN and his neighbours. At latest accounts, CORBETT was still living with some slight prospect of recovery. (see original)
