Forest City, July 18 - It is with regret we record the death of Mrs. CODY w/o P.W. CODY, M.D. of this place. About two weeks ago, as was her usual custom during the summer months, Mrs. Cody with her three children, Helen CODY, Harry CODY and Mollie CODY, took the train for Centreville, N.B. to spend part of the summer with her parents, the Hon. G.W. WHITE and family. On Friday last, the doctor received a despatch that his wife was not expected to live. He at once hastened away and on Saturday about 1 o'clock p.m., a was received from the doctor that his wife had passed away before he reached there. The funeral was held at Centreville Sabbath 17th inst. In the latter part of the summer of 1882, she was united in marriage with P.W. Cody of Queens Co., N.B. and shortly after they located at Forest City, Maine. (see original)
