The 90th birthday of John RANDALL of Fairhaven, Deer Island (Charlotte Co.), formerly of Argyle, N.S., was celebrated at the residence of his daughters on 4th August last. Mr. Randall was one of the earliest settlers in Fairhaven, at that time called Clam Cove. When he came here the island was but sparcely settled; roads were but paths through the woods; school houses and churches were unknown and the entire island could not secure a mail boat's monthly visits.
