The death of John LINTON, perhaps more familiarly known as the Squire, is announced. H.K. SHORT of Princess St., having been advised of the fact by telegraph yesterday. Deceased was an old resident of Kings Co. In fact, he had lived there all his life. He was postmaster for many years at Sea Dog Cove. Last fall he went to visit a dew months with some members of his family residing in Boston and New York. He leaves a wife and several children. His remains will be brought home this afternoon for interment.
