Deer Island (Charlotte Co.) - On 4th inst., Capt. William COOK was returning from Eastport in his boat and within a short distance of his own shore during a snow squall, he ran on a ledge, and before assistance reached him he perished. His body was taken to his heart-broken wife and two children. He was for many years master of some of the finest ships that sailed the ocean.
