The death occurred sudenly last eve. of Wm J. PIDGEON, North End barber. Mr. Pidgeon and two friends, Wm LEONARD of Strait Shore and Howard D. LOGAN, Harrison Street, were out driving in the afternoon. On Dock street the three men were seen together and the two took Pidgeon across the trestle work to Rankine's wharf where they left him in a shed. Walter EWING, who was near them at the time, saw that Pidgeon was incapeable of taking care of himself and went into the North End Police Station and informed Officer Corbett where Pidgeon was. The officer got a team, drove to the place and found him sitting on the floor. The officer says he thinks he was them alive, but before he could be taken to the police station he died. Dr. Christie and Corner Berryman were summoned. The latter will hold an enquiry today. Mr. Pidgeon was 37 years of age. He was a son of Jacob R. PIDGEON. The remains of the deceased were taken to his father's residence.
