Circuit Court - This case arose out of the failure of S.J. SCOVIL. The late Thomas CORKERY affected an insurance on his life in the office of which S. BERTON is agent. This realized over $4000. The widow, who is the plaintiff, and William COTTER, her son-in-law, administered. They differed about an amount which COTTER made out against the estate. They finally agreed that the defendant, Joshua CORKERY, brother to the deceased, should draw and hold the money until the differences were settled. (see original)
