Yesterday at noon, Joshua CORKERY,one of the best known citizens of Portland (St. John) passed away. Coming to the country from Ireland with but littleaid save but good business tact and a large amount of energy, he succeeded in building up an extensive meat trade and accummulated a large amount of property in Portland, Woodstock and other parts of the Province, as well as P.E.I. He leaves a wife, three children.
