Citizens were grieved to learn Thursday morn. that Mrs. McCAORMACK w/o John McCORMACK of this town, had passed away the previous night. She had been in a state of ill healthn for some time past, and although it was scarcely expected that she would recover, her immediate death was not anticipated. Mrs. McCormack's maiden name was Caraline PETTIT. She was the daughter of a well known tanner in the earlier days of Woodstock. The funeral took place Friday morn. A requiem mass was celebrated in St. Gertrude's Church by Rev. Father Chapman.
