The rumor that ran through the community Sunday morn. that George SEYMOUR was dead could scarcely be believed by those who had seen him at a late hour on the previous eve. in his usual health, actively at work in his barber's shop. The report, however, proved to be true. About midnight Saturday the deceased reached his boarding place at George W. HOLMES' and retired to bed. Not appearing at his usual hour Sunday morn. he was called several times, receiving no answer. Mr. Holmes, becoming alarmed, forced open the door of his room and found Seymour lying in bed with a placid countenance, his body in a natural position with arms folded on his chest, but unconscious in death. He was unmarried. A brother of the deceased reached here from St. John and another brother and sister from Boston arrived Tuesday, on the eve. of which they left with the remains for St. John.
