A case of drowning occurred Monday 12th inst at Kouchibouguac (Kent Co.) Robert CARTER, aged about 15 years, s/o James CARTER was putting deal from off a pile and accidentally missed his hold, with the hook with which he was dragging the deal to the water and fell off the deal pile and though several persons witnessed the accident, they were not able to render any assistance to the boy, there being a heavy freshet at the time. The body has not yet been recovered.
